Norman Thayer, Jr., approaching his 80th birthday, is celebrating his 48th summer on Golden Pond in picturesque Maine, but his health is declining and his memory is failing. His wife of many years and an inexhaustible force of nature, Ethel is doing all she can to keep things going as time slowly erodes the pillars in her life. Chelsea, their daughter, is also hoping for one last chance at happiness after a lifetime of bitterness and disappointment. All these forces connect over a summer in a poignant play written by Ernest Thompson and performed at the Eunice Players' Theatre. The cast includes Vincent P. Barras, Jody L. Powell, Sarah Soileau, Murphy Richard, Kevin Miller and Allen Higginbotham.
