While you may still be vacuuming the sand from summer vacation out of the trunk of your car, back to school is right around the corner, and with that comes the endless brigade of drop offs and pickups, first days and last first days. There’s no better way to transition from summer mode to study mode than with a new car. I’m Travis McMath, and my family has been in the automotive industry for three generations. As part of that third generation and as a busy father of two, I understand the pressure to never miss a day or an after-school practice (for both parents and students), so I’ve stocked the Arceneaux Ford lot with the most reliable back-to-school wheels for everyone from the carpool to college.

Take a look at my Top Four choices for Back To School.

For Mom – Ford Expedition
The Expedition is the epitome of a family car. It’s been a long-time favorite of parents on the go. It’s roomy (seating capacity of 8!), efficient and reliable. Even in the pickup line, you still look cool. The 2018 Expedition has been completely remodeled, interior and exterior. Need more convincing?  Five words: Five Star Crash Test Rating.

New Driver – Ford Eco Sport
When talks of driver’s license tests start circulating around the dinner table it can cause two things to raise…your anxiety and possibly your insurance. We can ease at least your anxiety
by putting the newest driver in your family in a Ford Eco Sport. This compact vehicle is as safe as it is sporty. And with a price tag of under $20,000, it’s a win for the whole family.

College Freshman – Ford Escape
College is a time of major transitions and crossovers, so what better vehicle than a compact crossover?? The Ford Escape is perfect for maneuvering around tight parking lots on campus. The design rides the perfect line of sophistication and fun. It’s versatile and functional, with plenty of room for all of their new friends. The Ford Escape also makes a great High School
Graduation gift – especially when it only rings the register for just under $20,000.

Teacher – Ford Fusion
With every new school year come a new and unique set of students brimming with talent. Each year also ushers in its own unique set of challenges – don’t let your car be one of them. The Ford Fusion is the perfect midsized sedan that couples innovative design and smart technology. With its edgy body style and striking color options, this car says, “I’m not like a regular teacher…I’m a cool teacher.”
