It’s time once again for the Louisiana Sugar Cane Festival & Fair Association’s premiere fundraising gala – Stars of Style. This year, the event will take place on a Saturday – July 21, 2018, at Cypress Bayou Casino. As in previous years, guests will enjoy dinner and cocktails before the show starts. Each Star of Style will be presented once in formal attire. Chairs Lisa Lourd, Phyllis Mata and Ted Viator have a few exciting changes in the works.
What’s New?Guests will notice a new twist on the way Stars of Style honorees are presented - honorees will include a set of twins, a married couple and five-generation farming family, the Blanchards. The emcees for this year will be none other than Senator Fred Mills and former Queen Sugar Caroline Marcello of KLFY. A new band is also being introduced to the 2018 lineup – Louisiana Red will take the stage to close the night out! Plus, the silent auction is already creating a buzz with items featuring names like Colby Delahoussaye and Jane’s Seafood. Not everything has changed; there will still be top-notch performances from none other than the legendary Sugar Lumps and IPAL.
Top Of The CropTwo years ago, a voting element was added to Stars of Style. The always-popular Top of the Crop will return once again.
