Each April, Acadiana LifeStyle presents our spring fashion showcases. Putting it together is a huge creative undertaking. However, I will not sit here and tell you that it isn’t exactly as much fun as you imagine it to be! We get to spend the day surrounded by beautiful clothing provided by Acadiana’s most premiere retailers. This year, for the models, we gave each participating retailer the opportunity to represent themselves, whether it be the store owner, sales associate or a brand representative. We wanted the truest reflection of their clothing, customers and brands to shine through, and that’s exactly what happened. See for yourself on Page 27. As for the setting, we could not have asked for a more beautiful day or a more beautiful backdrop than Antique Rose Ville. You can read all about this traditional teahouse on Page 36.

You can always count on the April issue to be the “pretty issue.” Of course our production team does a wonderful job of making each issue look great, but there’s something so perfect about the combination of Fashion and the Home & Garden section. After the harsh winter we had, Home & Garden is just the pop of color we all need. The section features a story on reviving your yard after the aforementioned winter. We had the opportunity to spend an afternoon at Ted and Walteen Broussard’s one-of-a-kind dream home, and could not resist doing a story on it just so we could share it with you! It’s on Page 22. That’s not the only house we got to peek around (in a totally not creepy way, of course); owners of A. Hays Town homes shared their experiences with us.

Side note, this month only, Books will not appear in the print version of the magazine. You can find it, as well as our other special web features, online at
