Chances are high that we will not be having a white Christmas. In fact, the weather might be “unseasonably” warm on Christmas day. But that’s kind of our thing. What Acadiana lacks in snowflakes, it makes up for with more than enough Christmas cheer. Still need convincing? Head on over to Page 21 where our “Christmas in Acadiana” section begins. The “Holiday Events Guide 2017” is proof of how much our holiday spirit cup runneth over. There is an abundance of incredibly unique events to take advantage of. You can enjoy a horse drawn carriage ride down historic Main Street in New Iberia or step back in time at Vermilionville and celebrate Christmas like the Acadians did. There is truly something for everyone. Just consider this issue a Christmas gift from us to you!
As this year comes to a close, it’s the perfect time to look back and see exactly what we got right during 2017. Iberia Parish experienced great success in the realm of commercial and residential development. We take a closer look at this in our special one-time section Development Iberia on Page 45. Features include an in-depth look at the increase in residential development, the role that local banks play in the process and a bounty of positive statistics and data from the Iberia Industrial Development Foundation.
As crazy as it is to believe that 2018 is only weeks away, the January issue of Acadiana LifeStyle will be the perfect way to start your year. We have already started gathering our Most Interesting People; there are a few local celebrities and a few hidden gems. Wait until you meet this group!
Merry Christmas, Acadiana.
We’ll see you next year!
