Life Changing Magic Of Tidying Up
If you’ve decided to declutter your house, shelves, closets…your very life, you should join the 3 million people who’ve already found the best-selling “The Life-Changing Magic Of Tidying Up,” Marie Kondo’s guide to the “Japanese art of decluttering and organizing.” (10-speed Press $16.99) She says, “Start by discarding then organizing your space, thoroughly and completely in one go.” If you accomplish that, then happily, you’ll want her new companion book, “Spark Joy” (10 Speed Press $18.99), a master class on organizing and storing things in minimum space. Here she shows how to fold and organize things in minimum storage places.
Blessed By Less
Another helpful book is Susan V. Vogt’s, “Blessed By Less” (Loyola Press $13.95). Her unique process began with giving away one thing every day of Lent. Surprisingly, she became addicted to the practice and continued beyond the Lenten season for a full year and found that she felt freer and more fulfilled than every before. Less, in this case, appears to be more.
