Social Lights December 2014: Jeanerette

12/23/2014 08:52AM ● Published by Aimee Cormier

November 9, 2014

Citizens and guests of the City of Jeanerette gathered at the Jeanerette Museum to view the unearthing and opening of a time capsule that was buried on the museum’s grounds 10 years ago during a traveling exhibit from the Smithsonian Institute’s Museum on Main Street program. The Museum’s Board Members and some of the students who placed items in the capsule were excited to remove the items. Attendees were treated to music by Gal Holiday and the opening of a new art exhibit entitled “Our Future Is Out Of This World.”
